"The Ones" re-launched this week! We started this repository of some of our favorite things when we were stuck indoors during Hurricane Sandy in NYC (October 2012) and we just gave it a major update. We're big proponents of buying the right thing once, especially when it comes to tools (and food).

Thanks to those who joined us on IG this week for our conversation with Taeyoon Choi. Highlights included a demo of a binary counting machine built a few years back and lots of talk about our new SFPC class Poetic Hardware.

If you missed it, we figured out how to save the video to our feed ;/ so you can watch it at your leisure on IG TV.

The guts of an installation by Paolo Salvagione. Go to his website to see his work. It's insane + beautiful! It was really hard to pick an image for this.

Next week.

We are soooo excited because this coming Thursday, May 21, 4PM ET we're chatting with Paolo Salvagione on Instagram Live. Paolo spent a decade as the lead engineer for the Long Now Foundation's 10,000 year clock and currently leads the Innovator-in-Residence program at Autodesk’s Pier 9 where we first met Paolo as artists in residence.

If you're not familiar with Pier 9, it's the ultimate workshop built on a pier in downtown SF. Here's a nice tour of the workshop guided by Paolo.

Paolo is one of those exceptionally rare individuals you can chat to about aaaannnyyyything. His brain seems to be equal parts engineer and artist and has a special way of shaking up and pushing a project to be the best it can be. He can also build things that are seemingly impossible.

Tune in next week to learn more! and also....we'll be launching a limited edition product 😉🚀

Check out Paolo's work

With love and hugs,
