lake tiorati covered in snow

<3 winter sports.

this newsletter starts out really fun and ends not so fun. and it has barely anything to do with our work. more of a little glimpse of what we've been up to on the weekends with our kids. first off, there are some of the coolest ever ice skating spots around nyc. there's something really special about skating on a massive frozen lake. especially if it's covered in fluffy powder. something we never thought was possible.

a river near north hampton we spotted from the highway. there were a bunch of people ice fishing.

short track.

cw is contemplating a go at the 2026 olympics as a speedskater for taiwan. he's been training by scooting small children around in a plastic mailbox.

material fail.

in another winter sport update, t attempted to revive boots from her ski racing days. these beloved boots are probably 22 years old. fortunately the plastic crumbled before she made it onto the mountain.

speaking of crumbling.

we missed last week's newsletter because t was busy getting a titanium upgrade in her wrist. yes that was due to an awkward fall on a frozen lake while ice skating. this was all super not fun but she was very brave and all is well now, healing and slower moving than usual. she's really looking forward to winter sports with wrist guards in the future.

With love and hugs,
