On our discord the other day, @willy pointed us to Gridfinity, a modular, open-source grid storage system for your workshop. Cue brain explosion. And in no time Che-Wei whipped up and printed 3D files to gridfinitize his secret stash drawer.

CW&T stuffs gridfinity models on thingiverse

If you have access to a 3D printer, the beginnings of the open source collection for CW&T items are available for free on thingiverse. My faves are the Key Wrangler, as it has a nice cutout for the keys and extra space for straggler keys, and the Herring Blade, easy to grab with a secret compartment for extra snap blades.

Women holding things.

What a good thing to run into a friend at the airport. Sitting at the gate this friend mentioned he just read Maira Kalman's book Women Holding Things. I picked it up the next day and highly recommend.

I'm a huge Maira fan, via learning about Tibor in 2008 after reading his words - "computers give individuals the power to fuck things up". I was at ITP at the time, making stuff like this and a professor pointed me to a Wired piece from 1996 titled Color Him a Provocateur, in which he talks about computers fucking things up, and imperfection and other things. His words have forever resonated with me. And we know what's happened in the 27 years since. But at the time, the glass was tipping. Open source software and hardware was just then beginning to flourish, and computers were still really hard for most people to do anything with, let alone anything expressive. It was the intricacies of this unraveling, which kept me up at night. And still do, even though now I have to sleep.

This began with being Maira, and then went deep into Tibor, which wasn't my intention. But alas, Women holding things.

TSL V2 Shoot.

Su Ji Lee is shooting some images of Time Since Launch Version 2. Here's some BTS of some materials she gathered.

Pre-order TSL v2 here.

If you'd like to reserve one in advance, we're still estimating a mid-April ship date.
