Citrus season.
It's that time of year, where tangy oranges and grapefruits are fresh and ready to gobble. It's been mentioned before, but worth restating, cutting out the juicy segments of a grapefruit for someone is a love language.
And while we're on the subject, Titanium Pen Type-B is now orange.
Pre-order Orange Pen Type-B
These will be ready to ship by November 15. We're making a batch right now, so if you want one in 2023, now's a good time to snag one.
No buttons. No functions. No accuracy. No problem.
We never know who gets a hold of the stuff we make, or how our intentions manifest (consciously or not) with daily use. So it was a really nice surprise to read J.D. Digiovanni's Gear Patrol piece on the experience of wearing Solid State Watch. I would usually call press like this an article, but upon reading, essay feels more appropriate.
Bags
Recently a friend recommended we read The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction by Ursula K. Le Guin. It's a beautiful text about heroes and technology and myth. But really about the small, unheroic things we pick up along the way, and throw into our pouch of story.
We got a new tool. An industrial sewing machine to replace our tired Brother. It is overkill, but does exactly what it is supposed to. In stolen bits of time, we've made soft things. Mostly bags.
Photo of Che-Wei + Taylor who is maybe actually or pretending to measure something...:)
Photos.
A couple weeks ago photographer Bryson Malone visited our studio/home and took some beautiful pics. Kids were out of school that day, so he caught us in the midst of some cardboard crafting. Sword themed.
With love and hugs,
