Light. Book.

In updates this week... above is a rotating cantilever light CW made for our kitchen/main living space. It's sporting a shade that is a failed dropped pendant light print and a tripod light mount. We always meant to make a proper overhead light for this space and it's been 9 years of not doing it. The space doesn't get much light, and even recently humored getting or figuring out how to make one of those fake skylight lights...but we're not bagillionaires.

So this is what we ended up with and it is dreamy. We're making another one (V2) for our assembly space, this time out of bent sheet metal, so it will look a lot sleeker. We'll keep you posted.

I just finished Land of Milk and Honey by C Pam Zhang. Its a dystopian story set in a not too distant future. The writing cuts, makes you stumble and go slow, startling your senses in a way that is more unusual than any text I can remember reading. Read it!
