The fanciest hood/scarf thing.
We know down isn't the friendliest of materials, but it really does regulate temperature + exert maximum coziness in a way that is unmatched by any other material. This week we learned that the fanciest down has no stick parts from the feathers. We also found it really hard to source recycled down and if you want to buy 1 lb of 800 fill power down, it costs 100 buckeroos.
Speaking of temperature regulation. This afternoon our friend Josh (who is responsible for the awesomeness of Time Since Launch electronics, and also happens to be the foremost expert on heating + cooling technologies and certified to handle refrigerant...yes that's a thing), hopefully if it stops raining is going to help us install a mini-split in the space where we do assembly and fulfillment.
We got boards for our latest SFPC class Instruments of the Black Gooey Universe. We're co-teaching with American Artist + Zainab Aliyu. American is currently part of a group show at the Guggelyheim (just offering a more fun way to say the Guggenheim), called Going Dark, which you should go check out.
New interview from Jonathan Simcoe on our studio. Check it out here!
We finally got around to making/re-stocking anodized Pen Type-Cs. Woohoo. We were supposed to get more Bs this week, but we didn't... soon!
Jumping rope also makes you feel warm.
With love and hugs,
Che-Wei + Taylor
