Let it live.

We have an ongoing internal debate over whether or not to cerakote Pen Type-B. There's something we really like about a raw material. Let it be what it is. Over time brass oxidizes, collects oils and develops a patina. Titanium is practically impervious.

With Cerakote, the aging is it's own thing, an aesthetic like a worn powdercoated steel bike frame, pronouncing dings + nicks. The first of which is always a gut punch. But along with that punch comes permission to let the thing live.
