Load testing.

I spent the last 2 days trying to figure out electronic circuit simulation in fusion/spice. I'm pretty bad at learning things like this, especially when it is a mix of code that lives in some places, and other functionality encapsulated by GUIs. When I can't see the whole picture. In this case I couldn't, but I managed to brute forc my way through it, and now have a much better handle on something I've been wanting to/should have learn for a long time. I still don't have the thing I'm making done. But closer.

Above is an image of CW load testing a new project. It's gonna be a cool one and will definitely not have those load requirements.

In other news, we're fixing our website. 7 years later cwandt.com has finally reached the end of us hodgepodge band-aiding new functionality onto what has long ago become deprecated. It was a tough calculus to decide whether we hire a company to port our design over to a new shopify 2.0 theme, or do that ourselves. Usually we would go with the former, but we're going to hire some pros so we can spend time working on other stuff, like testing buckles and tinkering in spice.

Tree star gazing. Just kidding...he's actually looking at something very very very small and very close.

Pencils.

I loaded Pencil Type-C with 2B lead this week. Have you ever tried 2B lead in a mechanical pencil?!!! I didn't even know it was a thing. Dreamy. This is the last week to snag one from the first batch on KS.

It turns out hosting a reddit AMA is really fun. We didn't know what to expect, and we were (I was) kinda panicked when it started. But the format is pretty awesome. We sat on our laptops next to each other typing answers to your questions which you can read here.

With love and hugs,
