We were very humbled and appreciative to the many of you who reached out when the lookbook was published this Monday. The timing was a total surprise for us too!

Powder coat vs cerakote

Check out these pics of samples we made for this project. For the first time on a PTC, we tested powder coat vs. cerakote. We'd never tried powder coating a PTC before, and powder coating costs wayyyy less than cerakote, ~20cents compared to around ~5$/part. And it's a lot quicker to get done. If you've never touched a Pen Type-C before, you probably wouldn't know the difference, but for us it was very good proof that cerakote is definitely the way to go. Cerakote is a much thinner but still durable coating, and because of that it doesn't blobbify machined edges + chamfers. Which makes a big difference with a small machined part. Not to worry, we did not skimp in any way and the Supreme collab. pens are cerakoted!
