This is Unresolved.

Coming Tuesday.

I just looked at the strategy document we created early this year. Our main strategy was to launch new products. It sounds ridiculous to put it so plainly.

But here it is cut and paste from our strategy document :

Projects are CW&T special sauce. They are vessels to put ideas/questions/curiosities into the world. Embedded in a project is also the opportunity to generate revenue + grow our audience. Which are helpful bi-products if we want to continue making stuff. If we do nothing else, we should focus and prioritize this. It is who we are, and it also happens to be how we have operated for 16 years.

Our strategy has been helpful in giving us permission to say NO to distractions and YES to things that align with our strategy. That said, we've made A LOT of stuff, but have dragged our feet on launching things.

Notify me on Pocket Fiche launch

Pocket Fiche is a pocketable microscope to view an insanely high-resolution print.

This project is a collaboration with our friend Miles Segal, who dropped out of college last year to develop tools to make microchip fabrication more broadly accessible. A first step in that process was making ultra high-resolution imagery. (Think around 100 pixels fitting into the width of a human hair high-resolution.) This is the Fiche in Pocket Fiche.

Pocket Fiche raises questions about microchip fabrication and access, economies of scale, data compression, and longevity with respect to physical storage.

With love and hugs,
