Not a fire sale.
It's a goal of ours to make our work as accessible as possible. Especially projects we use all the time that fall in the creative tool category.
Right after we updated the price of Herring Blade last week, a friend mentioned that it seemed like we dropped the price because we had overstock, or we were having some sort of fire sale. Neither true, so we wanted to clarify.
We've been gradually moving most of our products to a more reliable manufacturer. Our goal is to reduce the amount of time we spend sourcing, but also develop consistency in materials, finishes (where there is overlap) and maintain quality.
With all the uncertainty with regards to costs associated with manufacturing, we're at a point now, as in today (but who knows about tomorrow), where we can look closely at our pricing and make adjustments that give us a fair margin, and in some cases pass extra savings on to you all.
A few products such as Herring Blade, 556688 and Tripod Light have settled into a good place for everyone. Herring Blade prices dropped most significantly around 40%!!! 556688 is now 15% cheaper. And finally Tripod Light dropped over 30%.
To be clear, these aren't sales, they just reflect our costs today, and are subject to change at any point in the future.
Herring Blade new price
Tripod Light new price
